Hadrian’s Wall – 6 miles away

Walk in the footsteps of Roman soldiers along this UNESCO World Heritage site. Visit Chesters Roman Fort, Housesteads, or Vindolanda for immersive history and stunning scenery. A must-see.
Corbridge - 15 minutes

A gorgeous market town with independent shops, cafes, pubs, and riverside walks. Pick up local produce, visit the Corbridge Roman Town site, or just enjoy the relaxed atmosphere.
Hexham - 20 minutes

Packed with history and charm, Hexham boasts a beautiful Abbey, Old Gaol, and weekly markets. Stop for a coffee, explore the parks, or spend a few hours in the town’s galleries and boutiques.
Northumberland Coast – Around 1 hour

If you’re up for a day trip, the coast is calling! Visit Bamburgh Castle, Alnmouth, or Druridge Bay for dramatic beaches, sea air, and fresh seafood.
Wallington Hall (National Trust) – 20 minutes

An impressive country house and estate with lakeside walks, walled gardens, and woodland play areas. A great day out if you’re after nature and heritage in one.
Kielder Water & Forest Park - 1 hour

Home to the largest man-made lake in Northern Europe, Kielder offers walking, cycling, stargazing, and wildlife watching - plus one of the darkest night skies in the UK.
