Cabins & Your Stay
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 4pm and check-out is by 10am.
Guests will receive check-in instructions before arrival, including details for accessing the cabin.
Are the cabins private?
Yes. Each cabin sits within its own area of the countryside with space between neighbouring cabins, allowing guests to enjoy peace, privacy and uninterrupted views.
Are the cabins heated?
Yes. The cabins are fully heated and comfortable all year round, making them ideal for both summer and winter stays.
Do the cabins have kitchens?
Each cabin includes a fully equipped kitchenette with cooking facilities, utensils, fridge and basic essentials for preparing simple meals during your stay.
Is there Wi-Fi in the cabins?
Yes. Wi-Fi is available in all cabins.
However, many guests choose to use their stay as an opportunity to relax and disconnect from the pace of everyday life.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes. We welcome one well behaved dog per cabin unless by prior agreement.
Because the cabins are located on a working farm with livestock, we ask that dogs are kept under control and on a lead when outside the cabin area. We also kindly ask all dog mess is picked up and put in the bins provided as this can be fatal to our cattle and sheep.
Why aren't cats allowed?
Two reasons - cats would usually chase or hunt our wildlife which we are working so hard to protect.
However there is a second reason - healthy, well looked after cats can be affected by toxoplasmosis. Whilst this does not necessarily affect the cat, it is shed in faeces etc which then be transmitted into the local wildlife which then carries it throughout the farm. Toxoplasma causes abortion in sheep and cattle which is devastating for our farm.
Is there parking?
Yes. Parking is available close to the cabins and clearly marked when you arrive.
How many people can stay in each cabin?
Our cabins are designed primarily for couples, offering a peaceful and comfortable retreat for two people. Each cabin does however have a double sofa bed which is ideal for children. Maximum capacity of a cabin is four people.
Are barbeques or fire pits provided or allowed?
Due to insurance and also the safety and welfare of everyone including our nearby sheep and cattle then no barbeques or fire pits are either provided or allowed.
Why doesn't the sauna have a plunge pool?
The sauna is located approximately 20m from our stream. There are native crayfish in the stream which we want to protect. As part of planning guidance we cannot risk the water being contaminated with any run off from a plunge pool.
